Bangkok to Surat Thani:

Bangkok to Chumphon:
For travellers not in a hurry,
the train is the most pleasant way to travel to Chumpon. Night trains
leave Bangkok at 19:30 and 22:50 daily and arrive in Chumphon between
3:30 and 6:00. Air conditioned and fan-cooled sleeping and seated
carriages available. Ask the conductor to wake you up for Chumpon
station. Most of the time these comfortable trains are fully booked so
a reservation is necessary.

Bangkok to Chumphon: From Southern bus terminal (Sai Thai).
Air-conditioned
and non-air-conditioned coaches leave the Southern Bus Terminal for
Chumphon from about 09:30 to 22:00 daily. The journey normally takes
about seven hours.
Bangkok to Chumphon from Kaosan road:
Daily
buses departures are at 06:00 am and between 20:00-21.00 pm, arriving
in Chumphon at approximately midday and 04:00. Possibly the easiest and
most hassle free option.

From Koh Samui:
1. Songserm Travel
provide a daily boat service which leaves from Na Thorn Pier at 10:30.
You can catch a minibus from Koh Samui Airport to Na Thorn Pier. (If
you catch the first Bangkok-Koh Samui flight, you should be able to
catch this boat)
2. Lompraya high speed Catamaran
provide a daily boat service which leaves from Wat Pra Lan pier at
08:00 and 12.30. On-line booking at: www.Lomprayah.com. Ok if you
can stand their repetitive diving promotional video.
3. Seatran discovery. Same as Lomprayah but more comfortable when sea is less calm. www.SeatranDiscovery.com
From Surat Thani:
The night boat which departs around 23:00 from the Ban Don Pier.
From Chumphon:
Songserm Travel provides a daily
boat which leaves Ta Yang Pier at 7:00. They also provide regular buses
from Chumpon Train Station to catch the 07:00 boat. The journey takes 3
hours.
Lompraya and Seatran also provides daily high speed services, with departures at 7:00 and 12:00
