Dive master
Work at local dive centers, on live-aboards, or at exotic resort locations with the professional qualification of a PADI divemaster.
This certification allows you to lead divers on guided tours, assist PADI instructors with student and to prepare yourself for the instructors' course.
You can teach and certify PADI Skin Divers & PADI Discover Snorkelling programs, and PADI Scuba Review programs.
Why do you need to start?
- A 'Rescue Diver' level certification from any dive organisation
- Medical clearance signed by a physician
- 20 logged dives
- Minimum age: 18 years
How long will it take? 3 to 6 weeks
What will you do? Learn dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions. Complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water. Training exercises to test organisational and problem solving abilities. An internship or series of practical training exercises. 60 logged dives are required before certification.
Impian's Divers dive team, filled with multi-lingual instructors, will schedule the course for you according to your needs. During your training, you will work with these experienced instructors in the water. They will give you a good overall view of different ways to teach and how to guide divers.
We actively contributed at the creation of Koh Tao's 1st BioRock. and we strongly advise you to get involved in reef ecology. We also arrange an orientation at the local re-compression chamber, to give you more inside on how to avoid and manage emergencies.
You can start your dive master course with us any day. During the course you can make your fun dives. It is really like being in your very own diving school!
If time is a bit of a concern, we offer another option which covers the same information as the internship, but a little more condensed, which can be completed in 15 days.
